Emma Tynan ’20 is one of 200 Hamilton students conducting research or completing an internship supported by the college this summer. Here she describes her Emerson Research project under the guidance of Professor Phil Klinkner.

This summer, Craig Engert ’21 is interning in an office where most people keep toys on their desk, employees can book a conference room to de-stress with board games, and interns test unreleased toys and games on their lunch break.

Professor of Theatre Craig Latrell recently presented a paper at the International Convention of Asia Scholars (ICAS) in Leiden, Netherlands.

The day after her finals ended, Kim Lifton ’20 did what any college student would want to do and boarded a plane to Europe. She visited places like London, England, and Angers, France, observing the remnants of medieval Western history. Unlike the typical college student, however, Lifton spent the majority of her time examining medieval manuscripts in renowned archives and traversing the region in search of depictions of Edward the Black Prince.

Eight Hamilton students with career interests in the health professions fields are taking part in a volunteer immersion program for undergraduates through Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y.

Associate Professor of Government Gbemende E. Johnson published an article on “Adjudicating Executive Privilege” in the peer-reviewed Law and Society Review.

Some colleges assign them via automated programs. Others allow students to self-select. Hamilton does it the old-fashion way, by hand.

Next year, Tori Stapleton ’19 will travel to Chile’s Casablanca Valley as a fellow with Kingston Family Vineyards. She will be one of eight fellows from across the United States and Europe to work at the vineyard, assisting with day-to-day operations and efforts to expand the business. For half of the year, Stapleton will be living with other fellows in a farmhouse owned by a Kingston worker, while the second half will be spent in the urban setting of Viña de Mar, a city located on Chile’s coast.

The Liberal Arts Collaborative for Digital Innovation (LACOL) has announced that Hamilton will host the 2021 LACOL consortium-wide workshop in June 21-23, 2021.

Moving steadily upward every year, the Hamilton Annual Fund again exceeded its year-end goal this fiscal year, reaching a total of $7.156 million.
