The Hamilton College 2011 fall athletics season features the start of Hamilton's full integration into the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC), and a Bicentennial Kickoff Celebration from Sept. 22 to Sept. 25.

Women's volleyball kicks off the fall season at home on Friday, Sept. 2, when it hosts the Hamilton Invitational. The Continentals are scheduled to meet Sage Colleges at 4:30 p.m. and SUNY Plattsburgh at 8:30. The next day, Hamilton takes on SUNY Canton at 12:30 p.m., before wrapping up the weekend with a match against Southern Vermont at 2:30.

Men's golf hosts the two-day Hamilton Quadrangular beginning on Saturday, Sept. 3. The first round will be played at Kanon Valley Country Club in Oneida, N.Y., and the final round will take place at the Skenandoa Club in Clinton on Sunday. 

Women's soccer travels to SUNY Oswego on Tuesday, Sept. 6, for a 4 p.m. start. Men's soccer opens its season at home against Oswego on Love Field on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 4 p.m. 

Nationally ranked No. 17 field hockey begins its season on Sept. 7 as well, hosting No. 20 SUNY Geneseo on Campus Road Athletic Field at 6 p.m.

Men's and women's tennis travels to the Trinity College Invitational, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10 and 11. Cross country begins the season on Sept. 10 as they host the Hamilton Short Course Invitational. The women's race begins at noon and the men start at 12:30. 

Hamilton celebrates its 200th anniversary from Sept. 22 to Sept. 25, and a weekend full of events has been planned in order to begin the yearlong celebration. This weekend will also be a combined Family and Fallcoming Weekend. Football opens its season at home against Tufts on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m. Men's and women's soccer and field hockey host Amherst College on Saturday, and the trio takes on Wesleyan University on Sunday.

Crew hosts the Bridge to Bridge Head Race on Saturday, Oct. 8, on the Erie Canal in Rome, N.Y.
