While racing with a new shell named the Kathryn Seyba, named in honor of Donald Seyba's '57 wife, the Men's Four team finished 13 out of 31 teams. The women's teams, which competed on both Saturday and Sunday, finished in 26th place out of 33 teams in the Women's Four, and 25th out of 44 in the Women's Eight, respectively.
 
The Head of the Charles Regatta, a race that takes places on the banks of the Charles River in Boston, has been an annual event since 1965. Over the past 43 years, it has become the world's largest regatta.
