Ceramic sculptures by Rebecca Murtaugh, the John and Anne Fischer Professor of Fine Arts, are on display at the Kirkland Art Center in a two-person exhibition that explores vibrant handmade abstract artworks. The pieces are shown alongside large scale quilts by artist Julie Waldas in Vital Gestures, which runs through April 25.
The show can be viewed in person on Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. Capacity is limited, and masks and social distancing are required. The Kirkland Art Center is located at 9 ½ East Park Row in Clinton, N.Y. The pieces featured in Vital Gestures can also be viewed online.
