Hamilton College men's soccer goalkeeper Trevor Clarkson '09 (Mississauga, Ontario/Lorne Park Secondary School) was selected the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Upstate region Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 16.
Clarkson stopped a career-high eight shots in Hamilton's 3-0 win against Utica College on Oct. 10. The non-league victory against Utica was the only game last week for the Continentals (5-2-3 overall). The Pioneers entered the contest tied for sixth in the Division III Northeast region top 10 coaches poll.
Clarkson has not allowed a goal in 310 minutes this year. He was named the Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week on Monday. Hamilton wraps up its league schedule at nationally ranked St. Lawrence University on Saturday, Oct. 20, and at Clarkson University on Sunday.
