Assistant Professor of Classics Anne Feltovich recently published an article and a book review, both of which were in the works before campus was closed in March.
Her article titled “Archetypal Character Studies: Masculinity and Power” was published in March in A Companion to Plautus, edited by George Franko and Dorota Dutsch. In this article, Feltovich explores the relationship between fragile masculinity as seen in slave-owning men, and their physical and emotional abuse of social subordinates.
Feltovich also published a book review of The Cambridge Companion to Roman Comedy, edited by Martin Dinter. The review, titled “Another Companion to Roman Comedy,” appeared in the April issue of The Classical Review.
