Hamilton College will host the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, a collection of short films about outdoor exploration and adventure, on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m., in the Bradford Auditorium, KJ. The screening is sponsored by the Hamilton Outing Club.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door and cost $15 for the general public and $10 with a Hamilton ID.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is a compilation of outdoor and cultural films from around the world. The Banff Centre holds a film and book festival each year in Banff, Canada, where distinguished filmmakers, authors and adventures can showcase their expeditions. The Banff Centre then takes the best film on tour, bringing them to hundreds of cities and over 40 countries.

The films include a variety of styles, including action-filled shorts and long, topical pieces. They also focus on themes such as heritage, adventure sports and environment. The films presented at each stop on the tour are selected based on the stop’s audience and location.
