Three seniors have been awarded Class of 1979 Travel awards to support their research. Jordan Allen, Jessie Dromsky-Reed and Daniela Gonzalez are this year’s recipients. The award, established by the alumni of Hamilton’s Class of 1979, offers financial assistance to outstanding students who wish to pursue extensive research projects in different parts of the world.
Allen will attend the Society for Developmental Biology Northeast regional meeting in Woods Hole, Mass., in March.
Dromsky-Reed will travel to New York to attend a New York City ballet performance as research for her Russian studies project “Ballet as cultural diplomacy between Russia and the west.”
Gonzalez will also attend the Society for Developmental Biology meeting, where she will present thesis results on her project “Manipulating DNA Sequence Grammar in the Developing Drosophila melanogaster Embryo.”
