An article by Professor of Mathematics Sally Cockburn appears in this month’s issue of the international journal Discussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory.
The paper, “Homomorphic Preimages of Geometric Paths,” gives necessary and sufficient conditions for complicated networks to be collapsible into simpler networks while preserving vertex adjacencies and edge crossings.
