
Hamilton College dropped a four-set match against the Colby College Mules in NESCAC play at Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on Sept. 20.

The Continentals (1-8 overall, 0-1 NESCAC) won the first set 25-20 before the Mules rallied to win the next three by scores of 32-30, 25-20 and 25-23 in the NESCAC opener for both teams.
Courtney Somerville ’16 led Hamilton with career-best totals of 15 kills and six blocks. Somerville hit .375 for the match. Brenna Corrigan ’14 added a season-high 13 kills.
Anna Brown ’15 was the Continentals’ leader in digs (29) and service aces (four). Corrigan contributed 20 digs and Emily Rosen ’15 added 17. Sarah Pfund ’14 led the team with 25 assists and added 15 digs. Jamie Granskie ’16 also finished with 15 digs.
The Mules (4-5, 1-0) were led by Kate Pleasants ’14, who totaled 26 assists and 13 digs. Kim Donaldson ’16 finished with 16 kills and three blocks and Anna Clifford ’14 recorded 29 digs. Natalie Roy ’15 collected 20 digs and 10 kills.
The Continentals play a pair of non-conference matches at SUNY Oswego against Alfred State College and the host Lakers on Saturday, Sept. 21.
