The Hamilton College track & field teams hosted the Hamilton Mid-Week Meet on Tuesday at Pritchard Track. On the men’s side, the Continentals recorded six first-place finishes at the non-team scoring event.

The Continentals swept the top five spots in the 3,000-meter run, led by Harry Sullivan ’16 in first place in 8:59.04 and Jack Pierce ’17 in second in 9:00.10. Matthew McCarron ’17 and Nate Somes ’16 went one-two in the 400-meter dash, finishing in 52.37 and 52.53 seconds, respectively.

Hamilton took the first three places in the 1,500-meter run. Jon Stanhope ’18 won in 4:13.19 and Adam Pfander ’16 finished second in 4:14.75.

Christian Belardi ’18 placed first in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.20 seconds and Leonard Kilekwang ’16 was the winner in the triple jump with a mark of 12.86 meters. The Continentals won the 1,600-meter relay in 3:49.90.

Grant Whitney ’17 placed second in the 800-meter run -- less than a second behind the winner in 1:57.78. Dylan Berardelli ’16 recorded a second-place finish in the hammer throw (42.71 meters).

The Continentals return to action on Saturday, April 18, at the University at Albany Spring Classic.

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
