Three Hamilton College men's cross country runners and both teams were recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Feb. 11 when the USTFCCCA released the Division III cross country academic awards for 2014.

USTFCCCA Division III Cross Country Academic Awards for 2014

Jack Pierce '17 (New Gloucester, Maine/Merriconeag Waldorf HS), Jack Moses '16 (Medfield, Mass./Medfield HS) and Daniel Baer '15 (Lenox, Mass./Lenox Memorial HS) earned USTFCCCA all-academic individual honors. All three had a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 and ended up in the top 25 percent of finishers at the 2014 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championship.

The Hamilton men's and women's cross country programs earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team status for the seventh year in a row. To be considered an all-academic team, programs must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.10 or better and competed in at least five different meets with at least five runners representing their school at each. The men posted a team GPA of 3.19 and the women boasted a 3.39 team GPA.
