Hartford Players Youth Theater presents the musical Hairspray on Wednesday through Saturday, July 14-17, at 7:30 p.m., in Wellin Hall. The production is directed by Jackie Osterman and choreographed by Patrick St. Thomas, and G. Roberts Kolb is music director. Tickets are $15 at the door ($12 for children). The cast includes Hamilton students Jeremy Brendle '13, Gabe Hage '12, Kasey Hildonen'10, Katie Pierce '14, Aurora Rippey '12, Lesley Ryder '11, Tom Williams '11 and Andrea Wrobel '13, as well as a number of Hamilton employees' children.
Hartford Players Youth Theater is a 12-year-old regional theater ensemble with actors from age 9 to 21, founded and directed by Jackie Osterman. It provides acting workshops and small ensemble performances throughout the academic year, and produces two musicals each summer. HPYT will also produce Chicago at Wellin Hall, August 4-7.
