Wide receiver Charles Ensley ’17 (San Diego, Calif./Rancho Bernardo HS) has been named NESCAC Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in Hamilton’s win over Williams on Oct. 31.
Ensley caught two touchdown passes as the Continentals rallied for a 20-17 victory to snap a 25-game losing streak.
He finished with five catches for 84 yards, catching a 41-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and scoring on a 21-yard reception in the third. Both TD receptions erased Williams leads.
Ensley is the first Continental to catch a pair of touchdown passes in one game since 2012 and Hamilton’s first NESCAC Offensive Player of the Week selection since the 2011 season opener.
Ensley leads the conference with 547 receiving yards, is tied for first with five touchdown catches, ranked second with 91.2 yards per game and is tied for seventh with 4.8 receptions per game.
