Hamilton College inched up one spot to No. 14 in the 2010 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Top 20 poll on Oct. 19.
Hamilton (9-1 overall, 5-0 Liberty League) first appeared in the poll at No. 19 two weeks ago. The Continentals edged New England Small College Athletic Conference opponent Williams College 3-2 in overtime in Hamilton's only game last week.
Hamilton has won seven straight games and is tied for first place in the league standings. The one loss was a 2-1 decision at No. 9 SUNY Cortland back on Sept. 14.
The Continentals have a busy week with three games in six days. Hamilton travels to Nazareth College for a non-league game on Tuesday, Oct. 19. League rival Union College visits Clinton on Saturday, Oct. 23, and No. 7 Skidmore College (5-0 league) travels to Hamilton on Sunday, Oct. 24, for a game that should decide the league's regular season champion.
