Hamilton received one of the six at-large bids to the 24-team tournament after the Continentals tied for first in the Liberty League standings during the regular season and advanced to the finals of the league tournament. Hamilton, which is making its first appearance in the NCAA championships, has set a team record for wins in one season with 12. The Continentals are led by Colleen Callaghan '11, who is tied for second on the program's all-time list with 25 goals, tied for first with 24 assists and ranks second with 74 points.

Wooster is 1-7 in seven previous trips to the NCAA tournament. However, the Fighting Scots haven't hosted a game in the championships before Wednesday. Wooster enters the NCAA tournament on a six-game win streak. That streak includes a pair of victories in the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament, which the Scots won Saturday for the second year in a row to earn the automatic bid. Wooster is led by two-time All-America forward Amanda Artman, who ranks fourth in Division III in goals and points per game.

These two teams have never played each other. The winner sets up a date with nationally ranked No. 2 Salisbury University in the second round in Salisbury, Md., on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m.
