Three different Hamilton College players scored a goal in the Continentals' 3-2 win over host Rensselaer in a Liberty League game played at Harkness Field on Oct. 25.
 
Hamilton (9-3 overall, 6-1 Liberty) clinches a share of the Liberty League regular season title for the first time in program history. The seeding for the league tournament will not be determined until the end of the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 31. Hamilton’s nine wins are the most in one season since 1991, when the Continentals won 10 games.
 
Rensselaer (4-13, 1-6) got on the scoreboard first 4 minutes, 44 seconds into the first half. Hamilton answered in the 26th minute when Colleen Callaghan '11 tied the score 1-1 off a pass from Erin McNally '12. Callaghan leads the Continentals with nine goals and 23 points this season.
 
Hamilton took the lead in the 32nd minute, when Sarah Flisnik '12 scored her first goal of the season. The Continentals added to their lead 1:43 into the second half, when Carly Andrascik '11 scored an unassisted goal. It is her fourth goal this year. Rensselaer cut Hamilton’s lead to 3-2 with a goal in the 59th minute.
 
Courtney DeMaria '10 finished with seven saves in the win. The Continentals held an advantage in shots, 23-16, and also in penalty corners with eight to Rensselaer’s five.
 
Hamilton returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 29, when it hosts Nazareth College for a non-league game at 6 p.m.
