Hamilton College's Ted Finan '12 (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan HS) and Jacob Sheetz-Willard '12 (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Haverford Township Senior HS) have been selected to the 2011 Capital One Academic all-District Football Team for District 3 by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Finan is one of four defensive backs, and Sheetz-Willard is one of four linebackers on the team. District 3 is comprised of NCAA Division III schools located in New York State. Finan is an economics major at Hamilton, and Sheetz-Willard majors in history.

Finan is fourth on the team with 46 tackles, and has also intercepted a pass. He ranks seventh in the NESCAC with six passes defended. Finan was named to the NESCAC fall all-academic team in 2010.

Sheetz-Willard has recorded 27 tackles, including four for a loss of 44 yards. He is a 2011 team captain, and was named to the NESCAC fall all-academic team in 2010.

Student-athletes need to be at least sophomores in academic standing at their institution to be eligible for the CoSIDA all-academic team. They also need to have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better on a 4.0 scale.
