Amy Gaffney, director of the Oral Communication Center (OCC), presented at the National Association of Communication Centers' Excellence at the Center Conference in Grand Rapids, Mich., in April. Her presentation focused on trends about which students use oral communication center resources.
For the first time, Hamilton was also represented at the conference by two students: Jeremy Acosta '17 and Jonathan Stanhope '18, both of whom work at in the Oral Communication Center. The conference provided an opportunity for them to learn more about how communication centers function at other institutions and to bring back ideas for how Hamilton’s OCC can further improve its services and expand to meet other needs.
