Hamilton College's golf team finished in third place with a score of 322 in the 23rd Annual Skidmore Invitational held at McGregor Links Country Club in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Sept. 9. Skidmore College's "White" team took first place in the 11-team field with a 294.
Senior Brian Williams (Skaneateles, NY/Skaneateles) led the Continentals with a five-over-par 77, which left him tied for sixth place. Williams has been the low scorer for Hamilton in both its tournaments this fall. He was followed by Chris Pike '07 (Keene, NH/Pomfret School), who shot an 80.
Matt Gardner '06 (Concord, MA/Concord/Carlisle) added an 81 and Blake McLennan '07 (Oakville, Ontario/Appleby College) recorded an 84 to round out the top four contributors for the Continentals.
Hamilton swings into action again this weekend when it travels to Middlebury, Vt., for the Duke Nelson Classic on Sept. 13-14.
