Hamilton College Performing Arts Classical Connections presents award-winning Aviv String Quartet on Friday, Oct. 22, at 8 p.m., in Wellin Hall on the Hamilton campus.
The performance will include Beethoven’s “Harp” Quartet, Shostakovich’s Quartet No. 9, and Brahms’s Piano Quintet with pianist Robert Kulek.
The Aviv String Quartet was founded in Israel in 1997, and has performed internationally for more than 10 years. They have won multiple awards including the Daimler/Chrysler Grand Prize at the 3rd Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition and top prizes at the 2003 Bordeaux and Schubert Competitions.
Aviv members include, violin I: Sergey Ostrovsky and Evgenia Epshtein; viola: Shuli Waterman; and cello: Aleksandr Khramouchin. Pianist Robert Kulek joins the Aviv String Quartet for this performance.
