The Hamilton basketball programs hosted a Special Olympics basketball clinic for the fifth year in a row on April 19.

The Hamilton College men's and women's basketball programs hosted their 2018 Special Olympics Basketball Clinic inside Hamilton's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House on April 19.

The teams have hosted the clinic five consecutive years. Vincent Conn '20, Sayo Denloye '20, Kena Gilmour '20, Andrew Groll '19, Peter Hoffmann '19, Spencer Kendall '21 and Mark Lutz '20 represented the men's team. Mackenzie Aldridge '20, Gareth Coalson '19, Scout Lansing '21, Carly O'Hern '20, Kendall Rallins '19 and Marie Steiner '20 volunteered from the women's team.

The Hamilton men finished with an overall record of 24-5 and tied for first place in the NESCAC regular season standings with a 7-3 conference record. The 11th-ranked Continentals played in the NESCAC championship semifinals for the first time and advanced to the sectional semifinals (third round) of the NCAA Division III championship for the first time since 2003.

The Hamilton women ended up 14-10 overall, which was the Continentals' highest win total since the 2009-10 season.
