People born on April 1 know their birthday celebrations are going to involve more than just a nicely decorated cake with the requisite number of candles. So Hamilton women’s lacrosse coach Patty Kloidt wasn’t overly alarmed when she went to the campus parking lot at 4 p.m. on April 1 to retrieve her car and found it … missing.

After all, her day had been surprisingly quiet to that point, unlike past years when Koidt arrived at work to find her office full of balloons, or the time when everything (yes everything) in her office was wrapped in aluminum foil, or the year when every inch of her office floor was covered by a Dixie cup half full of water. Was this the year the tradition would end? Had the women’s lacrosse team run out of ideas?

Apparently not.

Kloidt found her car when she made it to the field for lacrosse practice, but the vehicle had been altered. Fortunately, it was drivable. Sort of.
