Associate Dean of Faculty for Institutional Research and Assessment Gordon Hewitt and Mike Sprague, Director of Business Intelligence and Web Services, recently presented at the EDUCAUSE Analytics Summit in Long Beach, Calif.
“Big Data, Small College” outlined Hamilton’s current data warehousing project and the pitfalls of implementing analytics at a small college.
Hewitt and Sprague discussed the importance of institutional strategy around data governance, as well as how to take advantage of changing technology that has a lower cost of entry.
Vice President for Libraries and Information Technology Joe Shelley was also involved in creating the presentation.
