The evolving U.S. immigration policy continues to dominate news headlines and spur debate across the country and around the world.

Hamilton College President David Wippman and Ben Casper Sanchez, director of the Center for New Americans at the University of Minnesota Law School, discussed the policy’s implications during a Facebook Live event on Friday, April 28, at 11:30 a.m. For those unable to participate, the interview can be viewed on facebook.com/HamiltonCollege.

Wippman served as dean of the University of Minnesota Law School before coming to Hamilton and was instrumental in creating the Center for New Americans in 2013. Casper, who became director and joined the law school faculty the same year, has more than 16 years of experience litigating cases before immigration courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, U.S. District Courts, U.S. Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Prior to joining the Minnesota Law School faculty Casper was director of the Pro Bono Litigation Project at the nonprofit Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota.
