An article by Derek Jones, the Irma M. and Robert D. Morris Professor of Economics, and co-authors Panu Kalmi of Aalto University School of Economics in Aalto, Finland, and Antti Kauhanen of the Research Institute of the Finnish Economy in Helsinki, was recently published in the International Journal of Production Economics.
The article, “Firm and employee effects of an enterprise information system: Micro-economic evidence,” presents the results of the authors’ investigation of “the impact of adopting an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in a retail chain” and the “parallels between firm and employee outcomes.”
The goal of the International Journal of Production Economics is to “disseminate knowledge for improving industrial practice and to strengthen the theoretical base necessary for supporting sound decision making” and “combines the high standards of a traditional academic approach with the practical value of industrial applications.”
