John McEnroe, the John and Anne Fischer Professor of Fine Arts, recently presented a paper at an international conference on Greek architecture in Athens, Greece. McEnroe reported on the GIS mapping, high-resolution and drone-based photogrammetry, and 3-D modeling that he and his colleagues are doing in the ancient Bronze Age town of Gournia, Crete.
This year, McEnroe is the Elizabeth A. Whitehead Visiting Professor at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens (ASCSA). Founded in 1881, ASCSA is America’s oldest overseas research institute.
