Hamilton College finished fifth in the varsity eight third final at the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference/National Invitational Collegiate Regatta on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass., on May 11.
 
The racing conditions were sunny with variable winds and temperatures in the 50s and 60s. All races were 2,000 meters in length.

Hamilton covered the course in 6 minutes, 29.845 seconds. Colby College finished first in the third final in 6:17.147. Jaime Leiva-Cabrera '14 was coxswain, Joe Ely '12 was the stroke and Andre Matias '12 was in the bow seat. Seats seven through two in descending order were as follows: Chris Visentin '12, Rafael De La Rosa '12, Adam Minchew '12, Aaron Whiteman '13, Dylan Jackson '13 and Jack Wildman '15.

The Continentals' second varsity eight finished seventh in the petite final with a time of 6:53.310. Colby won the petite final in 6:20.859. Monica Gutierrez '15 was the coxswain, Patrick English '15 was the stroke and Simon Judd '13 was in the bow seat. Seats seven through two in descending order were as follows:  Max Geiduschek '14, Jacob Wagner '15, Alex Cates '15, Grant Meglis '14, Gardner Reed '14 and Matt Poterba '12.
