Hamilton College finished in fourth place in the varsity eight petite final at the 2010 New York State College championships, which were held in Whitney Point, N.Y., on May 1 and 2.
 
Hamilton finished the 2,000-meter course with a time of 6:29.52 in Sunday's petite final. The University of Rochester captured first place in the petite final in 6:18.90. The racing conditions were good with minimal wind both days.
 
Hamilton's entry in the varsity fours finished eighth overall and second in Sunday's petite final with a time of 7:15.76. The University at Buffalo took first in the petite final with a time of 7:13.51.

Ricky Bottini '10 was coxswain for the varsity eight. The rest of the boat included Gibson Hoyt '12 at stroke, Tim Belden '10 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Chris Visentin '12, Charlie Palanza '10, Dylan Jackson ’13, Jeff Cardoni ‘11, Andre Matias '11 and Matt Poterba '12.

was coxswain for the varsity four. The rowers included Rafael De La Rosa ‘12 at stroke, Joe Ely ‘12 in the bow seat, Adam Minchew '12 in 3-seat, and Aaron Whiteman '13 in 2-seat.

Hamilton is scheduled to compete at the Eastern College Athletic Conference National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC) on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass., on Sunday, May 9.
