Hamilton College finished fifth in the varsity eight at the Tampa Mayor’s Cup held on the Tampa Bypass Canal in Tampa, Fla., on March 20.
 
The course was 1,500 meters in length, and the winds were variable from calm to a 10-mile-per-hour tail wind throughout the day. Hamilton's varsity eights entry finished in 5 minutes, 00.28 seconds. The winner was Jacksonville University's "A" entry with a time of 4:27.90.

Hamilton finished second in the junior varsity four in 6:14.90, and Jacksonville took first place in 6:02.90. Hamilton's varsity four was seventh in 5:26.67. Jacksonville was first again with a time of 4:50.90.
 
Ricky Bottini '10 was coxswain for the eights. The rest of the boat included Gibson Hoyt '12 at stroke, Andre Matias ‘11 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Chris Visentin '12, Joe Ely ‘12, Adam Minchew '12, Jeff Cardoni ‘11, Aaron Whiteman ‘13 and Matt Poterba '12.
 
Bottini was coxswain for the varsity fours. The rowers included Hoyt at stroke, Matias in the bow seat, Visentin in 3-seat and Poterba in 2-seat.
 
Dan Rudel  ’10 was coxswain for the junior varsity fours. The rowers included Jake Lucas ‘13 at stroke, Tim Belden ‘10 in the bow seat, Dylan Jackson ‘13 in 3-seat and Rafael De La Rosa ‘12 in 2-seat.
 
Hamilton will row against Union College for the Gilman Plate and Cup on the Erie Canal in Rome, N.Y., on Saturday, April 3.
