Hamilton College rowers finished 14th in the men's championship doubles and 21st in the men's collegiate fours at the 2013 Head of the Charles Regatta, which was held on the Charles River in Boston on Oct. 19 and 20.

Results

Both races were held on Saturday, when conditions were sunny with temperatures in the mid-60's and a mild tail wind at 5 to 15 mph. The course was approximately 3 miles long into a minimal current.

Hamilton, which posted a time of 17 minutes, 31.143 seconds, was one of 38 finishers in the collegiate fours. The University of Virginia was the race winner in 16:26.287, Purdue University was runner-up in 16:29.066 and the University of Michigan was third with a time of 16:30.704.

Hamilton was one of 18 finishers in the championship doubles. Jack Wildman '15 (stroke seat) and Max Geiduschek '14 (bow seat) ended up with a time of 19:42.890. They were penalized five seconds for a first buoy violation at the BU Bridge. The Potomac Boat Club claimed the gold medal in 15:51.988, the Cambridge Boat Club was runner-up in 15:57.893 and the Union Boat Club took third place in 16:37.078.

Sawyer Konys '16 was the coxswain for the collegiate fours. Jared Lippman '16 was in the stroke seat, Landon Morin '16 was in the 3-seat, Grant Meglis '14 was in the 2-seat and Kyle Leahy '14 was in the bow seat.

Hamilton travels to Philadelphia for the Head of the Schuylkill on Saturday, Oct. 26.
