Hamilton College's varsity eight finished third in the grand final at the Liberty League championships held on Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on April 26.

The varsity eight's time in the grand final was 6:57.60 on the 2,000-meter course. Hobart College won the title with a time of 6:42.81 and St. Lawrence University finished just ahead of Hamilton in 6:56.35. Hamilton's junior varsity eight ended up in third place with a time of 7:52.4. Hobart also won that race in 6:58.2.

Ricky Bottini '10 was the coxswain for the varsity eight. Charlie Palanza '10 was stroke and Tim Belden '10 was in the bow seat. The rest of the rowers included (seats seven through two in descending order): Ben Sholl '09, Jeff Cardoni '11, Willy Cowles '09, Jonathan Wilson '09, Mike Millar '08 and Andre Matias '11.

Dan Rudel '10 was the coxswain for the junior varsity eight. Alex de Moor '10 was stroke and Walter Cronkite '11 was in the bow seat. The rest of the rowers included (seats seven through two in descending order): RD Eisenhart '11, Colin Clark '11, Andre Zakoworotny '11, Matt Kotlove '09, Zac Haluza '11 and Ayush Soni '11.

Hamilton will row at the New York State championships in Whitney Point, N.Y., on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4.
