Scott Bickard '11 finished eighth of 103 runners as Hamilton College placed fifth at the 10-team New York State Collegiate Track Conference championships held at Genesee Valley Park in Rochester, N.Y., on Oct. 24.
 
Bickard finished the 8,000-meter course with a time of 26:38.94 and earned second team all-state honors. The top 21 runners make the all-state team. A runner from St. Lawrence University took first place in 25:35.09.
 
Will Reid '10 was next to finish for the Continentals in 23rd place in 27:23.77. James Grebey '12 finished 34th with a time of 27:44.73. Garrett Armbruster '10 was next to cross the finish line for Hamilton in 28:01.71 for 40th place. Devon Lynch '11 rounded out the top five runners for Hamilton finishing in 28:39.15 and taking 52nd place.
 
The Continentals had a team total of 137 points. St. Lawrence took first with 28 team points. University of Rochester finished second with 51 points, and Ithaca College took third with 80 team points.
 
Hamilton will race at the New England Small College Athletic Conference championships at Wickham Park in Hartford, Conn., on Sunday, Nov. 1.
