Ben Yeo '15 and Harry Sullivan '16 led the men's cross country team to second place out of 17 teams in the 2014 Hamilton College Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 11.
Results
Yeo topped the 177-runner field with a time of 25:48.4 on the 8-kilometer course, and Sullivan was right behind in second place and a time of 25:56. Yeo's time is the second-fastest by a Hamilton runner on the Continentals' home course and Sullivan's time is third on the list. Three-time cross country All-American Peter Kosgei '11 owns the school and course record with a time of 24:39.9.
Hamilton's Evan Abelson '16 was seventh in 26:21.7 and Daniel Baer '15 finished 21st with a time of 26:55.8. Abelson's time ranks him fifth on the program's home course list. Jack Moses '16 rounded out the Continentals' top five in 22nd place with a time of 26:56.2.
Ithaca College captured the team title with 38 points and Hamilton was a close second with 51. The University of Ottawa (Canada) came in third place with 75 team points.
The Continentals are off until Saturday, Oct. 25, when they compete in the 2014 New York State Collegiate Track Championships, hosted by St. John Fisher College.
