Hamilton College finished in ninth place out of 11 teams at the 2014 NESCAC Cross Country Championships, which were held at Middlebury College on Nov. 1.

Results

Harry Sullivan '16 paced the Continentals in 16th place out of 121 runners with a time of 25:48.5 on the 8-kilometer course. Williams' Colin Cotton '15 was the individual winner in 24:56.8.

Hamilton's Ben Yeo '15 was next in 49th place and a time of 26:32.4. Evan Abelson '16 ended up in 57th place with a time of 26:42 and Jack Pierce '17 was 61st in 26:43.4. Jack Moses '16 rounded out the Continentals' top five in 65th place and a personal-record time of 26:45.3.

Hamilton recorded a team score of 231 points. Nationally ranked No. 3 Williams captured the team title with 39 points, No. 7 Colby College was runner-up with 76, No. 9 Middlebury was third with 80 and No. 16 Amherst College landed in fourth place with 93. Other ranked teams included No. 25 Bates College (7th place, 180 points), No. 29 Tufts University (5th, 115) and No. 34 Bowdoin College (6th, 169).

The Continentals are off until Saturday, Nov. 15, when they compete in the 2014 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championships at Genesee Valley State Park.
