The men's 8-kilometer race will be held on the H.J. Max Championship Course, and is scheduled to start at noon eastern time, 11 a.m. local time. Kosgei qualified as an individual. He was one of the first seven finishers that was not part of a qualifying team at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region championships at Fortin Park in Oneonta, N.Y., on Nov. 13.
Kosgei finished fourth overall out of 268 runners with a time of 24:52.8 at the regional championships. The time was his best so far this year. He earned all-region honors for the fourth straight year.
Kosgei is aiming for his third All-America honor and second national title in cross country. He finished second at the NCAA championships in 2007, first in 2008 and 43rd last year when he was recovering from the flu.
