Hamilton College competes in the New England Small College Athletic Conference men's golf championship qualifier at Shuttle Meadow Country Club in Kensington, Conn., on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 2 and 3.

The 36-hole event features all 10 conference teams. The first group tees off at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The top four finishers move on to the 2011 NESCAC championship, which is held at the site of the team that wins the qualifier, in the spring.

Hamilton, Middlebury College, Williams College and Trinity College have been the top four finishers in each of the three previous NESCAC championship qualifiers. The Continentals finished fourth in the 2007 event, third in 2008 and second last year.

Hamilton is led by three-time NESCAC all-conference honoree Brad Roche '11, and Greg Scott '14. Scott leads the Continentals with a 75.5 stroke average through eight rounds. He has posted seven scores in the 70s and his worst round was an 80 in the first round of the St. Lawrence University Invitational.
