
The Hamilton College men's golf team finished 12th out of 12 teams at the 2014 New York University/Manhattanville College Spring Invitational on April 13.
Results
The two-day, 36-hole tournament was held at Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, N.J. The course played to a par of 71 and measured 6,548 yards.
Hamilton's Gipper Gailor '15 tied for 22nd place out of 66 golfers at 153. Gailor's 3-over 74 on Saturday was the best round for the Continentals out of the whole weekend. He added a 79 on Sunday for his career-best 36-hole score.
Greg Scott '14 tied for 25th place and was one shot back of Gailor at 154. Scott carded a 79 on the first day and posted a 4-over 75 in the second round.
Hamilton's four-man team score was 318 on Saturday and the Continentals repeated the feat on Sunday for a total of 636 strokes. Williams College captured the title with a team score of 590. Williams' Grant Raffel earned individual medalist honors in a playoff. Raffel finished at 2-over 144.
The men's golf team wraps up 2013-14 with the NESCAC Spring Opener at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Mass., on Saturday and Sunday, April 19 and 20.
