
Hamilton College finished in third place out of three teams at the 2013 Sunshine Invitational, which was held at the PGA Golf Club Ryder Course in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on March 21 and 22.
Williams College captured the invitational title with a two-day team score of 616 strokes. Trinity College was runner-up with 621 shots and Hamilton ended up at 635. However, the Continentals had the best team score on Friday with a 307. Hamilton will compete against these teams again at the 2013 NESCAC Championship in late April.
Matt Yung '16 tied for fourth place out of 24 golfers with a 36-hole total of 155. Yung's 75 on the second day was the best round of the event for the Continentals. Greg Scott '14 carded a 76 in the second round, Mac Pivirotto '15 fired a 77 and Brandon De Graff '14 posted a 79. Williams' Jake Goldenring was individual medalist with a two-day total of 151.
Hamilton is off until the New York University Spring Invitational at Forest Hills Field Club in Bloomfield, N.J., on April 13 and 14.
