Nine different players scored at least one goal for St. Lawrence University as the nationally ranked No. 16 Saints defeated visiting Hamilton College 13-9 in a Liberty League game played at North Country Field on April 25.

The Continentals (3-10 overall, 1-5 Liberty) scored at least two goals in each quarter, but were outshot by a 54-26 margin. St. Lawrence (10-3, 6-0) scored the first two goals and Hamilton reeled off the next two to even the score.

Max Akuamoah-Boateng '09 made the score 2-1 with his fourth goal with 9:33 to go in the first quarter and Andy Simon '09 scored the first of his two with 5:53 left. The Saints added two goals before the end of the quarter and went on to score the first three of the second quarter for a 7-2 lead.

Hamilton scored two goals in the second quarter and faced an 8-4 halftime deficit. Both teams tallied five goals in the second half, but when St. Lawrence scored with 14:46 left in the fourth quarter, the Saints led 12-6.

Peter Gerrity '09 led Hamilton with four goals -- all four scored in the second half. Akuamoah-Boateng chipped in one goal and one assist, and Franke Holiber '10 and Henry Burchenal '12 were credited with two assists apiece.

Alex Hodgens '09 picked up five ground balls and John Whitney '12 caused five turnovers. Max Vaickus '12 made nine of his season-high 20 saves in the first quarter. Eight seniors played their final game for the Continentals.
