The Hamilton College rowing teams competed against Union College on Sunday. For the 18th consecutive year, the Continentals and Dutchmen competed for the Gilman trophies with Hamilton winning four of the five races, including three trophies.
The men’s varsity 8 took home the Gilman Cup after defeating Union 6:59 to 7:09 over the 2,000-meter course on the Mohawk River. Union won the second varsity 8 race and the accompanying Gilman Bowl by winning 7:11 to 7:28.
Hamilton returns to action on Saturday, April 18, hosting St. Lawrence University on Rome’s Erie Canal.
