
Hamilton College dropped a match to Middlebury College, 7-2, at Hamilton's Little Squash Center on Feb. 1.
The Continentals (6-11 overall) are 25th in the most recent College Squash Association rankings, and Middlebury (14-6) is 17th. Hamilton will play Colby College in the first round of the NESCAC championships at Trinity College on Friday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m.
Alex Wood '12 earned a victory -- his seventh this season -- in four games for Hamilton at the fourth position. Wood won the first game 11-9, and then fell in a close second game by the same score. He rallied to win the next two games 11-7 and 11-8.
At the ninth position, Tim Gray '12 earned a 3-1 win over his opponent. Gray opened the match winning by scores of 11-3 and 11-7, and then lost a tight third game, 13-11. He earned the victory by an 11-8 score in the fourth and final game, and improved his season record to 10-7.
