The Colby College Mules advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2014 NESCAC Men's Squash Championship with a 6-3 first-round win against the Hamilton College Continentals at Hamilton's Little Squash Center on Jan. 31.

Results

Hamilton (6-8 overall) is seeded ninth for the championship and is 24th in this week's College Squash Association rankings. The Continentals take on Connecticut College and Tufts University in consolation bracket matches at Colgate University on Saturday, Feb. 1.

Colby (9-8) is seeded eighth for the championship and is 23rd in the CSA rankings. The Mules also defeated Hamilton 6-3 on Jan. 18 at Amherst College. Three Colby players won their matches in five games in what turned out to be a close, tense match.

Tucker Hamlin '17 was a winner in three straight games at the second position for the Continentals. Teddy Black '15 and Marc Dudzik '16 prevailed in four games apiece at the third and fifth positions, respectively. Black won his last two games by 13-11 scores.
