Taylor Hogenkamp '13 finished first in the 50-yard freestyle consolation final for Hamilton College on the first day of the 2012 NESCAC men's swimming & diving championship at Williams College's Samuelson-Muir Pool on Feb. 24.

Results

Hamilton is in ninth place with 166 team points after the first day of the three-day meet. Williams leads the 11-team field with 710 points.

Hogenkamp recorded a time of 21.45 seconds in the 50 free. His time in the preliminary heats was slightly better at 21.44 seconds.

Ian Nichols '13 ended up fifth in the 50 free preconsolation final with a time of 22.13 seconds. Nichols was fourth in the consolation final of the 50 breaststroke with a time of 27.51 seconds. He was faster in prelims at 27.36 seconds.

Reid Swartz '15 took fifth place in the 500 free preconsolation final with a time of 4:48.18. Swartz was better in the prelims at 4:45.29.

Michael Weinzierl '15 finished sixth in the 200 individual medley preconsolation final with a time of 2:00.45. Weinzierl's time in the prelims was 1:59.03.
