Hamilton College is in 10th place after the first day of the 2015 NESCAC Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at Middlebury College's Natatorium on Friday night.

Results

Reid Swartz '15 tied for fifth place in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 23.48 seconds. Swartz finished third in the event at the 2013 and 2014 NESCAC championships.

Ryan Cassidy '17 ended up in fifth place in the consolation final (13th overall) of the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:41.94. Cassidy posted a time of 4:40.97 in the morning's preliminary heats.

Tripp Miller '18 landed in seventh place in the consolation final of the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:55.54. John McBratney '16 was fourth in the preconsolation final (20th overall) in 1:56.84. McBratney's prelim time was 1:56.61.

Luke Jeton '17 finished eighth in the preconsolation final of the 50 butterfly with a time of 24.60 seconds. Jeton recorded a time of 24.31 seconds in the morning. Trevor Pearson '18 was seventh in the preconsolation final of the 500 free with a time of 4:45.01. Pearson's prelim time was 4:43.81.

The Continentals have collected 170.5 team points after the first day of the three-day event. Saturday's prelims start at 10 a.m. and the finals begin at 5:50 p.m.
