Hamilton College recorded six event wins but the Continentals suffered a close loss against Middlebury College in a dual meet held at Bristol Pool on Jan. 17.

The final score was 151-133. The Continentals finished 1-2 in two different races. Bowie Sievers '11 and Chris DeConinck '11 dominated the 200-yard butterfly with times of 1:56.48 and 2:01.85, respectively. Andrew Brodsky '11 and Alex Paridon '09 repeated the feat in the 50 freestyle. Brodsky's time was 22.32 seconds and Alex Paridon finished in 22.36.

Hamilton boasted four more first-place finishes in the meet. Sievers bested the pool in the 200 individual medley (2:00.35) and 200 breaststroke (2:15.61) to contribute a total of three victories for the hosts.

DeConinck took first place in the 100 fly in 53.73 seconds and diver Talpey Matt '12 captured the 1-meter springboard with 202.12 points. Hamilton returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 24, for a dual meet at St. Lawrence University.
