
Hamilton College finished in fifth place after the third and final day of the 2010 New England Small College Athletic Conference championships at Williams College's Muir-Samuelson Pool on Feb. 28.
Bowie Sievers ’11 finished in seventh place in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:28.77. Tom Cyran ‘12 finished 13th in the same event in 17:00.38.
In the 200 breaststroke, Jared Mereness ‘10 finished seventh in the championship final, touching the wall in 2:10.97. Chris DeConinck ’11 claimed third place in the 200 butterfly consolation final and 11th overall as he finished in 1:58.87.
In the 100 freestyle, Taylor Hogenkamp ’13 took fourth in the consolation final and 12th overall in 47.33 seconds. Hogenkamp recorded a time of 47.11 seconds in the preliminary heats. Jake DeConinck ‘11 followed him in fifth place in the consolation final and 13th overall with a time of 47.40 seconds. DeConinck recorded a time of 47.01 seconds in the prelims.

The Continentals finished with a team total of 757 points. Williams was first with 1,937.5 team points.
