Hamilton College cruised to an 8-1 win over Hobart College in a non-conference match at Hamilton's Gray Tennis Courts on April 7.
Jon Franzel ‘13 earned a win for the Continentals (4-5 overall) at first flight singles by scores of 7-6 (7-5), 6-2. Drew Libin ‘12 defeated his second flight singles opponent by scores of 6-1, 6-2. Hobart's overall record dropped to 7-8.
Greg Kreitzer ‘11 earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at fourth flight singles. At fifth flight singles, Mike Moreno ‘11 edged his opponent in a match that went all the way to a third set super tie-breaker, 6-7 (7-4), 6-4, 10-5. Peter Erwin ‘11 also won a competitive match at sixth flight singles by scores of 7-6 (8-6), 6-0.
The team of Franzel and Libin earned a win at first flight doubles, 8-3. Moreno and Jordan Petit ‘13 picked up an 8-4 win at second flight, and Kreitzer and Coby Berman ‘12 defeated their opponents 9-7 at third flight.
