Sidd Walia '10 and Mark Segal '09 highlighted Hamilton College's appearance in the St. Lawrence University Fall Classic by reaching the "A" doubles bracket final of this tournament that was played on Sept. 23 and 24.

Walia and Segal defeated a St. Lawrence opponent 8-4 in the quarterfinals and edged teammates Tom Bacon '09 and Jared Friedberg '09 in the semifinals, 8-6. Walia and Segal lost 8-1 to another St. Lawrence pairing in the final.

Segal, Bacon and Walia all won a match in the "A" singles bracket. However, Jared Solomon '08 enjoyed the Continentals' best singles performance of the weekend in the "B" bracket. Solomon defeated an opponent from Rochester Institute of Technology 6-0, 6-2 in the first round before disposing of a St. Lawrence player 6-3, 7-5, to reach the semifinals.

Tim Pillsbury '10 outlasted a Nazareth College opponent 6-3, 4-6 (10-7) in the first round of the "B" bracket. Tim Kubarych '10 advanced to the quarterfinals of the "C" bracket.

Hamilton competes in the ITA Northeast Regional Championships at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.
