Hamilton College lost its New England Small College Athletic Conference and home opener 9-0 against nationally ranked No. 1 Middlebury College at Hamilton's Gray Tennis Courts on April 3.
The Continentals (3-3 overall) are ranked 20th in the Northeast Region by the ITA. Hamilton is off until a non-conference home match against Union College on Wednesday, April 13.
Jon Franzel '13 and Mike Moreno '11 led their first flight doubles match 7-4, but Middlebury's Derrick Angle and Alec Parower won the next five games and prevailed 9-7. Greg Kreitzer '11 took his fourth flight singles opponent to a first set tiebreaker, but ultimately lost the match, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2.
The Panthers improved their record to 11-1 this spring.
